2017 Super Duty® Chassis Cab features a cab made of high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy that’s lighter than steel yet incredibly strong. Some of that weight savings was reinvested where it counts the most in a work truck – in stronger axles, beefier suspension components, and a fully boxed under-cab and C-channel aft-of-cab frame built of 95 percent high-strength steel with eight times more torsional stiffness than the previous frame.
UPFITTER INTERFACE MODULE
With the complexity of today’s vehicle electrical systems, upfitters need to be able to properly and consistently connect their electrical equipment to a vehicle’s Controller Area Network (CAN) busses or ports. 2017 Super Duty® makes this job easier with its available class-exclusive* factory-installed upfitter interface module that allows a direct CAN connection, quickly and simply, using a laptop or notebook.
